I mean, I help people heal for a living and I’m always learning something new, tweaking my routine, incorporating new practices, noticing habits and patterns I need to change.
If there’s anything I’ve learned from my own healing journey, is that it never ends. It evolves and changes, but there’s always a spiritual lesson to be learned, a past trauma to be healed, or a subconscious emotion to be acknowledged.
The invisible energies of grief, anger, fear and guilt are powerful and very real…and they do impact our health.
When we think we are doing everything possible, we are doing what we know or what people we trust around us know. Or what the doctor said, or even what we heard on social media. But how do they know? They learned it from someone too…
Then there’s science. But science changes constantly. What we know is true today, will be proven false tomorrow.
We are lucky to be living at a time when we have so much data and information at our fingertips, so many choices and options that you would think, all we have to do is implement everything we know.
Except…
We are getting sicker and sicker.
How is this even possible? I ask myself this question all the time.
I get calls and emails from people being diagnosed with cancer, people who have never been seriously ill before. Young women in their 20’s suffering from endometriosis, fatty liver disease, skin disorders, IBS or Lyme. Women in their 40’s and 50’s struggling with perimenopause and menopause symptoms. Men and women who can’t lose weight no matter what they do. Women who beat cancer only to have it come back.
I see so many people making significant efforts to improve their health, yet heath issues persist or worsen for many.

The official statistics are just as upsetting:
6 in 10 adults in the US live with a chronic disease such as cancer, heart disease or diabetes
74% of American adults are overweight or obese
79% of early onset of cancers
4 in 10 adults have two or more chronic diseases
Early onset dementia and Alzheimer’s have tripled since 2013
25% of women are on antidepressants
1 in 36 children are on the autism spectrum
40% of children are overweight or obese
1 in 2 Americans is predicted to get cancer in their lifetime
The good news is that this is all fixable.
One of the best places to start on the road to optimum health is in your kitchen. Learning how to cook, eating at home and choosing regenerative farm and organic ingredients is not optional. Sometimes it costs more but if you think about your health as the most important investment, why not spend a little more?
Health is also about your emotions and spirit, your lifestyle, the way you move your body, your genetics and what you choose to do about them.
But there’s more…
Health is ultimately about learning how to listen, decode and understand your body.
I’m a big believer that if you are passionate about living your healthiest life, you will stop what you are doing what made you sick and start new habits that will heal you.
